A monthly meetup for anyone doing the work of communications in a church or nonprofit setting.
The Church and Nonprofit Communicators Club is a free monthly meetup for anyone who handles communications. This may be your full role. It may be one part of your job. It may be something you inherited along the way.
This work can feel isolating. It can feel unclear. It can feel overwhelming at times. It does not have to stay that way.
The Communicators Club creates space to share ideas and talk through challenges. It offers a chance to learn from others doing similar work in a setting that is welcoming and informal.
Anyone doing communication work for a church or nonprofit—regardless of size, budget, or job title
First Wednesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. Eastern / 11:30 a.m. Central
Zoom (email Christen for the link)
Free
A one-hour, informal conversation centered around a monthly theme. No script. No slides. Just real people sharing ideas, asking questions, and offering support.
Each month’s session centers on a loose theme. This gives the conversation direction while leaving room for participation.
Participants are invited to share recent work or reflect on what they are noticing. Others may choose to listen and learn.
Hosted by Christen Kinard of Digital Congregations and Jaime Cowan of First Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, TX.
How we use volunteers, proofreaders, schedulers, and support systems
The platforms we use to design and send emails, what rhythms feel sustainable, and what has actually worked
How do we decide what is worth posting and what is noise? What platforms deserve our attention right now? How do we maintain consistency without feeling chained to content creation?
How do we create cohesion across emails, slides, social posts, and print? When is it time to refresh a look? What simple tools help maintain consistency without hiring a designer?
We’re still working out these details. Check back soon!
